 Return to In-Person Worship

We are planning to return to in-person worship on July 12th. The service time will be at 9:00am. We will continue our Facebook Live Worship indefinitely, but it will be moved to 11:00am on July 12th. This return date decision was based on the responses we received from the survey many of you participated in.

Scripture for reflection – Matthew 19:26

Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

As I reflect on the many happenings in our country from the COVID-19 and the social unrest, I think back to this Bible verse from Matthew that has always been very important to me.

Periodically I have to remind myself to re-center, to refocus; to keep God at the center of everything I do.  In times of tough decisions or uncertain times, how does God want me to react?

I have saved on the side of my refrigerator a prayer from a couple decades ago that was part of an anthem sung at our church; ‘God Be in My Head’. Today I will use it as the closing prayer.

God be in my head, and in my understanding. God be in my eyes, and in my looking. God be in my mouth, and in my speaking. God be in my heart, and in my thinking. God be at my end, and at my departing. Amen
